Special Thanks and Special spots sparky

First today After Calendar we made Thank you poster to The fireman that came to the house on Tuesday . It says " Sparky and I thanks you for everything you do to keep us safe . I will send some pictures and a hand written note from me .

So mail box this month had a cute picture of fire safety dog (special spots ) a fun counting game but i decided to use ring holes color them back and have the children out them in the correct spot and then color sparky .

Busy Week i thought i would Sharing

ok with the Fire truck yesterday , helper today and Traveling tots . Oh and don't forget the wonderful weather .. With Miss Tee From travel tots they learn and do some curr stuff but i though i share some items from my environment . I think i talked about these but someone asked size .

so i have a doz or so pumpkin around the room in play kitchen area for the children to play with . I also took these same pumpkins and the dollar erasers(60pk) i bought and made a math game . You will see we hitting 1-6 hard this fall .

Now this is so open ended you could take pompoms and used them as pumpkins and let them added them to the pumpkins . i also think i just perment mark the pumpkins with the number . i just got to hit walgreens or target for some more .

The Fire Truck today

Ok my pictures are not great i had a few with fears and a few shy girls . So It was hard to take good pictures . Iam very greatfull the local fire department will come here when they go to local school . They are the Nice's and willing all volunteers to do this to come to my small groupt . I try to only have them come every other year . Am sure they would come every year if i ask but again it all volunteers and they are so nice with the kids and bring great things for the children .

October

Here a few items i made for October . New lace cards as you see i have a few different kinds but this was made from a .25cents placemat i bought after Halloween last year to make an extra large one . though be fun to toss in the pack . So any plastic mate will work .

Then i cut out pattern of pumpkins and we going to work on their name so i wrote out the letter of each of there names on a pumpkin they can work on putting them in order . Of course we have numbers on some also 1-5 to work on number order .

I picked up for a dollar a bag of pumpkin eraser i think these will be prefect for some kind of counter . 60 in a pack . just not sure what we will do with them yet ..

Bulletin Board

So i change my Bulletin board at least once a month . I feel they need to be filled with the children work that they take part in .. Photo , art work , hand or foot print of the children .

Septembers was "Wheeling into September " and Octobers is "Look Who in The Pumpkin Patch"

So for September i printed a Pumpkins out. I asked them to out line them with markers then color them with crayons . Working on the fine motor skills(tracing and different writing items ) and listening skills . Young two's i outline and they colored . Then they cut them out the ones that can cut and i then cut a door out and added a picture and placed on the wall .

We also worked on Two today so i gave then all a large cut out of two (number of month )color orange so i used orange paper and they got crayons and two stickers to use and deco them . We also at circle time talked about all the Two we have on , Hands , eyes ,ears etc you get idea . asking them what else is two .

Hopeful i'll post new games i have and made for October ever week end .

Last Day For Apples Apple Tree's !

so we finished apples with Apple tree . We first read a Story about Apple trees and then worked a ton on fine motor skills . Try it some time, some kids can not rip paper but it builds the muscle they need to learn to cut. I used tissue paper for the tree truck and red apples . I let them rip red for the apple and then cut brown for the trucks .As you can see it great for mixed ages . My Two that just turn Two(well one be two saturday ) can do this and love to rip and glue . We just didnot do there trucks .They could color it brown if you wanted them to .
