Harvest weaving corn

Was not sure how this work . If any would be able to weave the corn . As you see there is some that got it and some that did not but it all the same was great on find motor and thinking skill figure how to get paper through the corn .

First i cut strips of paper longer then needed . I thought this be easier for them to weave . Then i cut a corn shape , Then folded in 1/2 and cut slits.

When they where done weaving i cut ends off and glued them down .You see all levels here . I also let them cut the strips when done as we will use it as turkey another day and great practice for these learning to cut . If they have trouble cutting work with holding paper and cut on line as a guild .

I seen this on Almost unschooled blog check it out .

as i am here loading pictures i think we use the fall color cut paper to work with our letter Ee.

Clothes pin and Ribbon

my inspiration came from this site mymontessorijourney . Sorry i can ad click silly blog never let me . but i love two things here well more actual i love fine motor skill , love number , counting and i love the Montessori learning .

So i needed clothes pin now if your doing 1-5 like me not to bad but if doing one -10 you need 55 clothes pin i think that right . Now this is the first time i think i am introducing clothes pin the pinching find motor skill using these so am going to start with 5 and see who they use them , hold up .(i think i got this some time years ago at dollar store and about a month i looked again i seen them ) it was a 1.00 for 40 of them .

Also need ribbon some kind of tag i used a tag punch oval and i took foam number , leaves and foam glue is what i used . I do have hot glue handy in case the ribbon does not hold up with foam glue .

So now you come up with ideas . You of course could use sticker , write numbers on them i also was thinking of doing a star one for December and using a color stick .

Corn Candy Corn Sorting Game and Fine motor skills

This is this month new game we are sorting candy corn .You need pom pom yellow , white and orange . (i looked last night at dollar store and they have them in these color . (

i happen to have a huge bag i pulled for . I made three cards and have out three thongs (also got these last year at dollar store in wedding section ) and i took a old strawberry tub and put the pom pom in and the children sort and use the motor skill for the thongs . They are so excited to sort with these .

ps i know i need to trim them better and will laminate them later also !

Happy November ! Leaf man

What a wonderful book , great pictures and this came so cute . I read the story and we looked at all the pictures of leaf man , fish , chickens , birds and even turtle made out of leafs . Then i gave them a pile of silk leafs and two eyes . We play a little with leafs before we glues so they could get a feel how a leaf man looks like. When they seem to have idea i let them have the glue . sorry one of my pictures is on it side ops ..
