Great Catch

My kids actual use real gloves when we play softball/baseball out side and this is almost every day . So they knew what gloves where . These where fun to make and would a great bulletin board and ad a picture in glove and caption Great catch !

Balls and more Balls

Today we Graphed our favorite sports . I let them vote more then once or even for all . Hint why all are 5 or 6 .I love to graph with preschoolers . It great for counting and evening patterning . First we listed all the sports we could think of with a ball .

Then we talked about hockey and why it was not a ball sport or is it ?It is round and but does not bounce is what they came up . I thought pretty good . I could not fine the graph i wanted so i made my own with a blank graph and click art .

Fish The Food Chain

We read the story A food Chain in my Bugs to Bunnies book by Kenn Goin

I use props when we read the story gold fish food and a large , med and small fish .These i also number so they can use them for sizing them , them self after at the table

Bubble wrap fish

I took a cut out of a fish and made bubble wrap rollers . 1/2 tp roll and wraped with bubble wrap and had them hold the rollers but the handles of clothes pins . Bust results when stamped not rolled . It gives it the texture and bubble pattern . Mix the colors is the best . So only one roller pre child .

Fish or ocean table games

These are both great practice counting 1-10 and 1-12 .

The First one is a puzzle they put together and 1-10 guilds them to put the correct pieces in correct spot .

2nd one is add a number to the mat and then add correct number of fishes . You could do many different ideas to this game . I also want to make one with shell . How many shells and use real shells .

Where do Fish live ?

Fresh water, salt water or both . Yesterday we tasted fresh water and salt water today we placed fish and learned which ones live where . I got my fish page from Bugs to bunnies book by Kenn Goin

letter curriculum What do you use

Or how do you teach letters . I used to teacher letter through out my themes . Then i taught them they way you learn to write them But i found that a little hard for some of my young 2 to 5 year olds . Then last year i change to letter Thursday . where worked well but i find a little flat and not sure the best . So how do you teach letters to your preschoolers and what Curriculum do you use if use one ? thanks ! planning for Sept already
