Sorting by Numbers

so how do you sort? I could of made another sorting counting mat but i took Egg carton and used them so

1-12. you see we started with bear counter but they where to big so we went to our colorful buttons.

Sorting Colors and Shapes

These shapes strips i bought last year when we did a unit on shapes . so worked prefect today also . Then i made color maps for sorting color buttons .

So we have sorted by size yesterday , today by color and shapes and tomorrow will be by numbers . We also have talked about sorting categorizing . Like your classrooms are set up . What belongs where and what does not .

Sorting is great for beginning math , counting ,categorizing ,learning numbers , shapes and colors . Preschoolers naturally sort .

We looked around the room and i asked do they see anything sorted? Color crayons by color , cars by category , books by size and category. Many items around the class room ?

Today we sorted by Big and Small

First i show them the laces on the balls . Then i had white circle cut out . We added holes and they laced up there base balls !
