The Sun, Weather unit

If and when i do this again . I would start the melting first . after they where hot enough it went fast but the waiting for 3 years old was a little long and i would of loved each to do a sheet but we ened up with just doing one melted sun and they made a different sun . Hint for next time .

We picked a prefect day to do wind it 40 to 60 miles today .

We read this great book , Talks about wind and what it does . Blows bubbles , blows seeds around and even pinwheels . Just like our day .

Clouds

Drawing clouds one was fog they said

Cirrus , stratus .cumulus and Nimbus .

We are learning about different clouds . Today we finish about rain and started learning and intro to clouds . We learn more next week ..

Each day in weather unit we check rain gauge , we look and record temp . guess the weather . and today we watching rain come of from the ground . (celery )

this was a great book to tell how clouds fill with tons of droplets and then it rains prefect for our science today .

We started our weather unit on Friday with Rainbows today we made a weather wheel from my book call Totline and changed our learning trays .

Rainbows

OK don't mind my family pictures but needed to be able get picture of them . These I made last year and they sit out and they find objects to go in each color of the Rainbow . Dump and do again. Also helps reinforce the color order of the rainbow and colors .
