Butterfly Bracelets

Butterfly Bracelets they are Simply, easy and cheap . We took paper towel rolls cut into 3's or 4's and trace a butterfly pattern out . Let them decorate the band and Butterfly and i put a line of hot glue on back of butterfly to hold go . The paper rolls i cut a slit so it fold over there arm to make a bracelet . Think of the possibility's !

Fly Into Summer

As we are studying Butterflies

We changed our Bulletin board . We keep spring flowers for our Butterflies .

Butterflies and nectar

We made flowers , where nectar comes from . We drank nectar from a straw like a tube the butterflies drink from .

We colored our coffee filters and then spray with water added a clothes pin body when done.
We did this out side and only takes a few minutes to dry .

We took Empty paper tube , Flatten one end slightly and i taped shut. Then we decorated it with mod pod (glue and water mixture )green tissue paper and glue mixture .

This ideas was from the book we read Flying colors .

Great craft while we waiting for our Butterflies the Chrysalis are kind of boring to watch . But we have a surprise today .

Butterflies symmetry

So today we worked on Butterflies
Symmetry

we painted one side and then folded over to

make the same pattern on other side . Beautiful Butterfly







first we used our fine motor to draw a symmetry butterfly to help understand symmetry . It like magic to a three year old . when you fold over the paper .

We worked on some fine motor skills then made Butterflies to represent the Butterflies.

We did this Triangle butterflies yesterday afternoon . I thought it was neat to have our fine motor skills to come to live .

Butterflies and Letter B

I took our Bb Template and they cut them out and glued them in the shape of a Butterfly . We add 2nd wing on one side(lower case b) and two antenna and decorated them . B for Butterflies .
Also B for beads and bracelet. We made a Butterfly Bead Bracelet !

Caterpillar Suprise

We read Hungry Hungry Caterpillar

Then I asked them what inside my surprise ?

Then I open my Caterpillar

I give each child 3 part egg carton

one piece of paper

2 piece pipe cleaner

markers or paint to decorate your Caterpillar (egg carton section )

rubber band

Once they are done coloring the egg carton I wrap their caterpillar in there paper .

Talking about how the caterpillar build a cocoon .Ours are working really hard at this right now .

Now we laid them on the counter and at nap . You come along and glue down the Caterpillar down and add wings . Already for them to decorate after they open their surprise .

(Isn't metamorphosis amazing )
