Snowflakes

All you need is a snowflake pattern draw your self or cheat like I do from color.com I gave them strips of blue paper to cut into pieces and fill in the snowflake and glue down . Once all done we glued on a black sheet of paper and painted with a mixture of salt, glue and water . (hint don't let this sit long with glue in it or you will have lump .)When they dry they will shine a Little

Snow Flakes

So we are doing all kinds of snow flake today Again i have children here 2yrs to 11years so many different level or learning taking place .

So first we did coffee filter snow flakes

I showed The children how to fold a snowflake

Fold in 1/2 , then again in 1/2 then again in 1/2 . round wider point at bottom . Then i showed them how to cut a few (i said two or three pcs out ) Then open up and see what you have .

Then we took are water color paint and used our droppers in blues and purples to drop and spread on the coffee filter snow flake ..
I have coffee filter and scissor out for them to keep working on white snowflakes and learn them self . They can color them later if they like .
Then i made star shape with craft sticks (i hot glued them together ) and gave them yarn (i tied it to the stick) and had them wrap them around and around until they where out of yarn . makes a shape of a snow flake .

No School day ....

This mean for me my children all out of routine (which me and hum children like ) so i have extra children and some that did not come .

so we started with painting today . Remember other post about cheap my .25 cent snowflakes and free soup lids . Got to use them today from children 2yrs to 11 yrs .
They did pretty good . this is a messy project and you know some don't like paint on their hands so i warned them they will get paint on their hand .(A Little paint good for all )

Then of course we played out side it is 25 outside wonderful this time of year .

Then we can in and made home made pizza

Bread

sauce

Cheese

peperoni

broil

cook about 5 minutes

All loved it and ate it all but one that put to much sauce on hers (see when you give them the control ) but she even said she going to make this for dinner . (This was the kind of home made pizza i mad as a kid)

Snowflakes winter painting

So i just wanted share a few items i found this month ..

first i picked up these snowflakes at target after Christmas 1.00 for 4 at 75% off so like .25 for a 4 pk . don't they look great .

Then i keep seeing my family eat this micro soup and it has these holes on the top . and look what they make . cut snow pattern .

Then i got some bubble wrap at Christmas time and i cut into a snowman shape (i think needs eyes to help it's look ) but the kids will have a ball painting it anyway .

Oh i just had to show the cute widow cling i pick up at target .25 each to intro the snowman and flakes .
